Oh, I am so tempted!
I just came across this, a Trojan War blog written by Eurylochus, one of Odysseus' men (via Orange Crate Art) and it looks like a fun read.
I am so tempted to try something like this with Middlemarch, maybe a blog by Dorothea! Like I need another blog project, but on the other hand it would help me to summarize each chapter, right?

Okay, that Odysseus blog is funny! (although the psi in the header really annoys me, and may prevent me from passing the link on to my husband. I'm such a classics geek, and he's twice the geek I am!)
But you should go for it! I love fiction inspired by other fiction!
I cant wait to get far enough along in Middlemarch (MM) to find that one somewhat minor character who just steals the show for me, as Catherine Arrowpoint did in Daniel Deronda. I was so taken by her when she appeared and established herself, that I found Gwen's vaporings and Mira's sweetness to be a bit tiresome. I even started writing a very bad fan-fic-like story of the events of the novel from Catherine's viewpoint (and I havent done something like that for years!) I hope there's someone like that in MM!
Yes, as I get further along I am less tempted to write a blog by Dorothea. I am tempted to give her a copy of Women Who Love Too Much and direct her to a codependent recovery group. Ugh.
Maybe we can have various characters "guest blog" here!
Dibs on Uncle Brooke! (I have a ridiculous soft spot for the old man -- a soft spot, now! He should have been the main character, you know -- the main character, now! -- but George Eliot saw that it just wouldn't do!)
