Slowing down?

I can't help but notice that posting/commenting has been a bit slower over the last week. Is the schedule too fast? too slow? Are you encountering text-related sutmbling blocks (language, characters) that could be discussed here?

Depending on your comments, I'll consider posting a revised schedule for the rest of the book. Anyone?

My problem is that I read ahead, and now seem incapable of saying much without spoiling. I mean, I would have had trouble anyway, but now I have SUPER trouble. So if you slow down, I might just explode.

Or I might just spoil EVERYTHING.

Me too, Rachel! I finished the book last weekend and am lurking until we are all there together in order to avoid spoilers. Now that the reading is finished, I can see so many things that are only clear if one can pull back and see the entire view from 10,000 feet. And I am on the edge of wanting to read Felix Holt! I finally seem able to "get" her style and its no longer as off-putting as it once was.

I'm also ahead, though not by so much now, and I'm having a little trouble sorting out which events fall into which chapters. I'm also feeling very Mr. Brookeish, and am just having general trouble posting anything coherent. But for me the answer would not be to slow down the schedule.

I'm a little behind but expecting to catch up now that I'm done the other book I was working on.

I think the schedule is fine, don't slow it down for me - !

I am waaayy behind--just starting book III. Since so many people are already done or reading ahead, I certainly don't mind just going at my own pace. I will read the posts here at my own risk, and try and discuss whenever I can.

Oh goody. We plow ahead then. I'm 8 chapters from the end and I intend to read them before I sleep tonight. I find I'm rereading sections with almost every comment posted here. I can't remember the last time I got to know a book so well.

If you must mention events that occur in later books, be sure to preface your comments with a warning and/or chapter number.

I'm half way through Book 5, so, as we're supposed to be discussing Book 4, that's about perfect for me.

I'm a little behind. The library books were piling up and I started to work on them. I'll catch up and spoilers don't bother me at all, so... carry on!

My problem is that I am hugely behind because I've just been on a 2-and-a-bit week vacation to Australia and I didn't do one iota of reading while I was away. But I hope to catch up soon and look forward to reading everyone's posts and commenting as I go along.

The schedule's perfect. I had a big paper due yesterday, but have been keeping up with the book and was actually just coming by right now to catch up on posts and post myself.
